Sleeper Cell

In Sleeper Cell, the author draws upon his experience in the transportation industry and actual events. The story follows George Kent, a Dallas police detective, who stumbles onto a terror plot while investigating a series of murders. He is aided by Nina Lopez, an FBI anti-terrorism investigator who has been transferred from D.C. to the Dallas FBI Field Office after a falling out with her superiors. During the investigation, the two uncover a possible terrorist sleeper cell based in North Texas. They find a potential terror plot to initiate a large-scale attack across multiple cities using gaps in the US transportation sector. If successful, the attack could devastate the economy. George and Nina risk their careers and their lives to stop the terrorists but discover they are too late and embark on a cross-country chase to prevent the attack.
